Installation Instructions

1. Park the vehicle on level ground, chock the wheels that stay on the ground and loosen the lug nuts on the axle you are working on before lifting.
2. Raise the vehicle with a jack, support it on rated jack stands and remove the road wheels.
3. Unbolt the brake caliper from its bracket, support the caliper so the hose is not loaded, and hang it out of the way.
4. Remove the caliper bracket where required, then pull the factory rotor off the hub. Retaining clips or screws must come out first on some applications.
5. Clean the hub face completely so the new rotor sits flat. Any rust or debris left behind will show up as runout and pedal pulsation.
6. Wash the preservative coating off the new rotor friction surfaces with brake cleaner and fit the rotor to the hub.
7. Reinstall the caliper bracket and caliper with the correct fasteners, torquing everything to the vehicle service manual figures.
8. Fit new or clean pads, refit the wheels and torque the lug nuts to specification in a star pattern.
9. Pump the brake pedal until it is firm before moving the vehicle, then bed the pads and rotors in with a series of moderate stops from moderate speed, avoiding a full stop while hot.
