Installation Instructions

1. Allow the engine to fully cool, then disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the turbocharger, EGR cooler connections, and heat shields to access the factory exhaust manifold per the vehicle service manual.
3. Remove the factory exhaust manifold and clean all cylinder head gasket surfaces to bright metal.
4. Install new gaskets and the BD Diesel manifold using the supplied Grade 10.9 bolts and spacers, torquing in a center-out crisscross pattern to 43 N路m (32 ft-lb).
5. Reinstall the turbocharger, torquing turbo flange nuts in a crisscross pattern to 43 N路m (32 ft-lb).
6. Reconnect the EGR cooler, heat shields, and delta-P line per factory routing.
7. Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and check for exhaust leaks.
8. Re-torque all manifold and turbo fasteners after the first full heat cycle.
