Installation Instructions
- Raise and support the vehicle, then drain the factory transmission fluid before removing the old transmission and torque converter.
- Disconnect the driveshaft, transfer case linkage, cooler lines, wiring harness connectors, and shift linkage from the factory transmission.
- Support the transmission on a jack, remove the transmission crossmember and mounting bolts, and carefully lower and remove the factory 4R100 transmission and converter.
- Drain all fluid from the removed transmission and converter before preparing them for return as the core.
- Prefill the new BD Pro Force torque converter with the specified automatic transmission fluid, then align and seat the converter into the new RoadMaster transmission.
- Raise the RoadMaster transmission into position, align the torque converter with the engine flexplate and dowel pins, and secure the transmission to the engine block.
- Reinstall the crossmember, transmission mount, and transfer case, then reconnect the driveshaft, cooler lines, wiring harness, and shift linkage.
