Bilstein 24-028295 B8 Performance Plus is a monotube gas pressure shock absorber designed for the rear of BMW E39 5 Series vehicles. It fits 2001-2003 525i Base Sedan, 1997-2000 528i Base, 2001-2003 530i Base, 1997-2003 540i Base and 2000-2003 M5 Base models. The damper uses application specific valve settings and works with aftermarket lowering springs to deliver improved handling response.
