The CP Pistons CPN-3248 Piston Ring Set is sold per cylinder (one set services one piston). For multi-cylinder engines, please order the appropriate quantity (e.g., 4 sets for a 4-cylinder engine, 6 for a V6, etc.). Each set includes:
- 1.0mm Top Ring: Gas-nitrided steel compression ring, scuff-resistant and compatible with Nikasil and cast iron bores. Provides superior sealing and extended life under extreme conditions.
- 1.2mm Second Ring: Cast iron with a Taper Hook Groove (THG) Napier design, acting as an oil wiper to push oil away from the combustion chamber, enabling a lower-tension oil ring for reduced drag.
- 2.8mm Flex Vent Oil Ring: Comprises two soft nitride rails with a low-tension expander. The mini-flex vent design minimizes friction, enhancing engine performance and efficiency.
