Installation Instructions

1. Allow the vehicle to cool completely. The Ford GT heat exchanger circuit operates at pressure when warm.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Place a coolant catch pan under the front of the vehicle. Locate the heat exchanger coolant circuit drain fitting and drain the intercooler water circuit completely.
4. Remove any front undertray or splash shield fasteners as needed to access the heat exchanger mounting location at the front of the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the upper and lower coolant hose clamps from the OEM heat exchanger inlet and outlet necks.
6. Remove the factory heat exchanger mounting fasteners and lift the OEM unit out of the mounting location.
7. Position this heat exchanger into the factory mounting location, aligning the inlet and outlet necks with the existing coolant hoses.
8. Install all mounting fasteners and tighten to the factory specification. Reconnect the coolant hoses and clamps securely.
9. Reinstall any undertray or splash shield panels. Reconnect the battery.
10. Refill the intercooler water circuit with the factory-specified coolant and water mixture. Follow Ford's bleeding procedure to purge air from the circuit.
11. Start the engine and bring to operating temperature. Inspect all hose connections for leaks. Check the coolant level and top off as needed once cooled.
