Installation Instructions
- Allow the vehicle to cool completely. The Ford GT heat exchanger circuit operates at pressure when warm.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Place a coolant catch pan under the front of the vehicle. Locate the heat exchanger coolant circuit drain fitting and drain the intercooler water circuit completely.
- Remove any front undertray or splash shield fasteners as needed to access the heat exchanger mounting location at the front of the vehicle.
- Disconnect the upper and lower coolant hose clamps from the OEM heat exchanger inlet and outlet necks.
- Remove the factory heat exchanger mounting fasteners and lift the OEM unit out of the mounting location.
- Position this heat exchanger into the factory mounting location, aligning the inlet and outlet necks with the existing coolant hoses.
- Install all mounting fasteners and tighten to the factory specification. Reconnect the coolant hoses and clamps securely.
- Reinstall any undertray or splash shield panels. Reconnect the battery.
- Refill the intercooler water circuit with the factory-specified coolant and water mixture. Follow Ford's bleeding procedure to purge air from the circuit.
- Start the engine and bring to operating temperature. Inspect all hose connections for leaks. Check the coolant level and top off as needed once cooled.
