Floor & Tunnel Shield II(TM) is a unique and patented product that solves the problem of heat intrusion into vehicle interiors, which can damage components and electronics. It is designed to provide the best possible heat protection in areas where high temperatures are always present, such as fire walls, transmission tunnels, and floor boards. This product limits heat transfer, provides thermal protection, guards against debris, and offers sound deadening capabilities.
Constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 in. composite glass-fiber core, Floor & Tunnel Shield II can withstand temperatures up to 1750°F. Its improved multifaceted modern aluminum surface offers improved reflection and rigidity, making it easy to install with the aluminum side facing the heat source. At only 3/16 in. thick, it can be shaped and trimmed for a custom fit, making it ideal for minimal clearance areas.
Floor & Tunnel Shield II can be used on a variety of surfaces including metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, and plastic. This version does not include adhesive backing, making it versatile for different applications. It is the most cost-effective way to control thermal transfer and protect expensive components and vehicle occupants from extreme heat situations and sound.
