The Diode Dynamics DD5185P Elite Series fog lamp is a direct plug-and-play replacement for the factory fog light housing on Subaru Legacy, Lexus GS/NX/RX, and Toyota 4Runner, RAV4, Tacoma, and Tundra models, using a custom-engineered patent-pending optic and multi-die automotive LED emitters to deliver up to 5 times more output than the factory halogen fog light. Each DD5185P lamp is built around a high-quality toroidal lens and OEM-grade aluminum casting, meets SAE F3 fog light standards for legal on-road use, and includes an integrated amber backlight accent that can be wired to a constant 12-volt source. Available in 6000K cool white or 3000K selective yellow. This Type B lamp kit shares a common bracket and connector pattern across these Lexus and Toyota platforms.

Is this fog light legal for on-road use?Yes. It is engineered to meet SAE F3 fog light standards for legal on-road use in the United States.
Does the amber backlight turn on automatically?The backlight can be wired to any constant fused 12-volt source, such as a parking or sidemarker circuit, using the included tap connector; it is not automatically powered out of the box.

Installation Instructions
- Access the factory fog light by reaching behind the bumper or pulling back the wheel well liner, depending on the vehicle.
- Disconnect the factory fog light electrical connector and remove the factory fog light housing from the bumper, retaining the factory mounting hardware.
- Install the new lamp using the factory mounting points and hardware; if the lamp is side-specific, confirm the labeled side before tightening.
- Connect the included wiring adapter to the vehicle harness, and connect the backlight tap wire to a fused constant 12-volt source if the amber accent feature will be used.
- Repeat the process for the opposite side, then park facing a wall 25 feet away and use the adjustment screw to aim each beam so its top edge sits four inches below the measured mounting height.
