Installation Instructions
- Remove the transmission from the vehicle following the applicable factory service procedure.
- Remove the factory torque converter from the transmission input shaft and flexplate.
- Install the new FTI converter onto the transmission input shaft, confirming full engagement of the pump drive and stator support.
- Reinstall the transmission and secure the converter to the flexplate using the appropriate mounting hardware.
- Verify proper converter-to-flexplate clearance before final installation.
- Fill the transmission with the correct fluid type and quantity, then check for proper operation.
