Frequently Asked Questions
What boost pressure will the GVW-45 45mm Wastegate Kit - Red control?
Base pressure depends on the exact spring configuration. Final boost also depends on exhaust flow, plumbing, electronic control, dome pressure where applicable, and the complete turbo system.
Which flange and tubing fit the GVW-45 45mm Wastegate Kit - Red?
Use the exact Garrett flange, valve size, clamp, tubing, and outlet configuration documented for this part number.
Does the GVW-45 45mm Wastegate Kit - Red need an electronic boost controller?
Control requirements depend on the wastegate or actuator configuration and the target boost strategy. Follow the current Garrett diagram and calibration requirements.
Installation Instructions
Installation must follow Garrett's current instructions for the exact part number. Verify fitment and the complete system first, protect the engine from debris, prime oil-fed components before startup, use the specified lines, fittings, gaskets, fasteners, torque values, heat protection, wiring, controls, and calibration, then inspect for leaks, interference, abnormal noise, and correct boost operation before driving.
