  3. Count and record the number of turns required to remove the outer tie rod end from the adjustment sleeve to maintain approximate toe setting during reassembly.
  4. Remove the inner tie rod boot clamps and slide the boot off the steering rack.
  5. Using an inner tie rod removal tool, unscrew the inner tie rod from the steering rack.
  6. Thread the ICO55166 inner tie rod assembly onto the steering rack and torque to specification. Install the included boot and secure the clamps.
  7. Thread the outer tie rod end onto the adjustment sleeve using the same number of turns recorded during disassembly.
  8. Insert the outer tie rod end stud into the steering knuckle and torque the castle nut to specification. Install the cotter pin.
  9. Repeat for the opposite side.
  10. Reinstall wheels and torque lug nuts to specification. Grease the zerk fittings on the outer tie rod ends before lowering the vehicle.
  11. Schedule a professional four-wheel alignment immediately to set toe angle correctly.
