Internal Reservoir Damping for Heavy Duty GM Trucks
The ICON 76551 is a Vehicle Specific front shock built for 2011 to 2026 GM 2500HD and 3500HD trucks that need consistent damping without the bulk of an external canister. Unlike remote reservoir designs, 76551 houses its nitrogen charge inside the shock body itself, keeping the front end clean while still delivering the cooling benefits of a larger oil volume. Owners running 0 to 3.5 inches of front lift get a direct, vehicle specific tune engineered by ICON for the added ride height without sacrificing on road manners or towing composure.
Key Features
- Internal nitrogen reservoir eliminates the need for external hoses or canister mounting
- Vehicle specific valving tuned for 0 to 3.5 inches of front lift on GM 2500HD/3500HD platforms
- Nitrogen charged monotube design for fade resistant, consistent damping
- 2 inch body diameter shock with 10.07 inches of travel
- Eyelet upper and lower mounts for direct bolt in installation
- 100 percent rebuildable and revalveable ICON shock architecture

Suspension
Aftermarket suspension systems improve handling, ride quality, and ride height adjustment beyond what the factory suspension provides. From lowering springs and coilover kits for sport handling to lift kits and leveling kits for truck and SUV off-road capability, quality suspension components transform how a vehicle rides and handles. Popular Suspension Upgrades Popular suspension upgrades include coilover kits for adjustable ride height and damping, sport lowering springs for improved handling and reduced body roll, performance shock absorbers and strut assemblies, sway bar and end link upgrade kits, subframe brace kits, and complete suspension packages for lifted trucks and off-road SUVs. Alignment kits including camber bolts and camber arms are also frequently ordered after ride height changes. What is the difference between coilovers and lowering springs? Coilovers are complete shock and spring assemblies with adjustable ride height set by threading the spring perch on the shock...
