Installation Instructions

1. Allow the engine to cool completely before beginning. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Locate the ignition coils on top of the valve covers. The 3.7L Cyclone V6 has three coils per bank, six total.
3. Unplug the electrical connector from the first coil by pressing the release tab and pulling straight out.
4. Remove the single mounting bolt (typically 8mm) securing the coil to the valve cover.
5. Pull the coil straight up and out of the spark plug well. Inspect the well for moisture or debris and clean if needed.
6. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of the new MMIG-MUS6-1106 boot if additional grease is desired (each coil comes pre-lubricated).
7. Insert the new coil straight down into the plug well until fully seated.
8. Reinstall the mounting bolt and torque to OEM specification (approximately 53 in-lb / 6 Nm).
9. Reconnect the electrical connector until it clicks.
10. Repeat steps 3 through 9 for all remaining five coils.
11. Reconnect the negative battery terminal. Start the engine and verify smooth idle with no misfire warning lights.
