Installation Instructions

2. Using a size 24 socket, remove the caliper bracket bolts from the steering knuckle.
3. Remove the original caliper by sliding it off the bracket or removing it with the bracket as one assembly.
4. Disconnect the brake hose banjo bolt. Plug the hose to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
5. Remove the original mounting bracket if replacing separately.
6. Install the new Power Stop S5172 mounting brackets onto the knuckle, torquing the bracket bolts to 275 ft-lbs.
7. Install the new calipers onto the brackets using the included slide pins, torquing pins to 24 ft-lbs.
8. Connect the brake hose with new copper crush washers on both sides of the banjo bolt. Torque banjo bolt to 20 ft-lbs.
9. Install abutment clips and brake pads per instructions.
10. Reinstall wheels, lower the vehicle, and bleed the brake system following proper brake bleeding procedures.
11. Test brake function at low speed before returning to normal driving.
