The Ridetech RID12313510 HQ Series Front Coilover kit delivers adjustable ride height, 24-position rebound tuning, and Hyperco coil springs calibrated specifically for the 1965-1979 Ford F-100 2WD equipped with the Ridetech Independent Front Suspension system.
The RID12313510 is engineered as part of the Ridetech IFS ecosystem and requires the Ridetech IFS front suspension to be installed, it is not a universal fitment for factory F-100 twin I-beam or conventional front ends.
Each RID12313510 kit includes two Ridetech HQ coilover shock absorbers with large 1.834-inch pistons and heavy-duty 5/8-inch shafts built from impact-forged aluminum bodies, along with two Hyperco coil springs at the correct rate and two sets of mounting hardware. Ridetech validates all spring rates and shock calibrations through thousands of miles on their own test track and competition events, so the RID12313510 is ready to perform out of the box on the Ridetech IFS F-100 platform.

Will the Ridetech RID12313510 coilovers fit the factory F-100 front suspension without the Ridetech IFS?
No. The RID12313510 is designed specifically for use with the Ridetech IFS front suspension system for the 1965-1979 Ford F-100. It is not compatible with the factory twin I-beam or conventional front suspension. The Ridetech IFS must be installed first.
What does 24-position rebound adjustment mean?
The external adjuster knob on the RID12313510 shock body allows you to select from 24 discrete rebound damping levels without removing the shock. Turning toward softer positions allows the suspension to extend more quickly for better compliance on rough roads. Turning toward firmer positions increases handling response and reduces body motion.
What spring rate do the Hyperco springs in the RID12313510 kit use?
Ridetech selects the spring rate for the RID12313510 based on validated testing on the F-100 IFS platform. The specific rate is published in the Ridetech product documentation included with the kit.
Can I adjust the ride height with these coilovers?
Yes. The RID12313510 coilovers feature a threaded lower perch that allows ride height adjustment. Ridetech recommends starting at their recommended ride height setting and making equal adjustments on both sides to maintain proper alignment geometry.
Does the RID12313510 require an alignment after installation?
Yes. Any suspension change that alters ride height or component geometry requires a professional alignment check. Alignment to the correct specifications is essential for proper tire wear and handling.
What is the warranty on Ridetech coilovers?
Ridetech backs the RID12313510 with their exclusive 1,000,001-mile warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the build.
Are these coilovers made in the USA?
Yes. Ridetech designs, develops, and manufactures their products in their ISO 9001 certified facility in the USA.
Do these coilovers work on the Ford F-150 versions of this era as well?
The Ridetech IFS and coilover system was developed for the 1965-1979 F-100 platform. The F-100 and F-150 share the same frame and front end in this generation. Confirm compatibility with Ridetech directly for F-150 applications in this year range.
