The Ridetech RID12313510 HQ Series Front Coilover kit delivers adjustable ride height, 24-position rebound tuning, and Hyperco coil springs calibrated specifically for the 1965-1979 Ford F-100 2WD equipped with the Ridetech Independent Front Suspension system.

The RID12313510 is engineered as part of the Ridetech IFS ecosystem and requires the Ridetech IFS front suspension to be installed, it is not a universal fitment for factory F-100 twin I-beam or conventional front ends. 

Each RID12313510 kit includes two Ridetech HQ coilover shock absorbers with large 1.834-inch pistons and heavy-duty 5/8-inch shafts built from impact-forged aluminum bodies, along with two Hyperco coil springs at the correct rate and two sets of mounting hardware. Ridetech validates all spring rates and shock calibrations through thousands of miles on their own test track and competition events, so the RID12313510 is ready to perform out of the box on the Ridetech IFS F-100 platform.

Installation Instructions

  1. Confirm the Ridetech IFS front suspension is fully installed and the vehicle is at ride height before beginning coilover installation.
  2. Safely lift and support the vehicle on jack stands at the frame. Place a floor jack under the lower control arm to support it during installation.
  3. Compress the front coilover spring using a spring compressor if required to fit the coilover into the IFS mount.
  4. Insert the top of the RID12313510 coilover into the upper mount and secure with the supplied hardware. Hand-tighten only.
  5. Lower the floor jack until the bottom of the coilover aligns with the lower mount. Install the lower mounting hardware and hand-tighten.
  6. Set the ride height at the Ridetech recommended starting point by adjusting the threaded lower perch equally on both sides.
  7. Torque all mounting fasteners to the specification in the Ridetech documentation.
  8. Repeat for the opposite side. Lower the vehicle and bounce each corner to settle the suspension.
  9. Set the rebound adjustment to the recommended starting position per Ridetech documentation before first drive.
  10. Have the vehicle professionally aligned after installation.
