The CE-9903-18 is RockJock's universal Antirock sway bar kit built for fabricators and custom rig builders who need to mount an Antirock system on a vehicle without a bolt-in kit option. The CE-9903-18 includes a 32-inch long, .700-inch diameter 4340 heat-treated chromoly torsion bar, 18-inch fabricated steel arms, adjustable end links, Delrin bushings, weld-on axle tabs, a mounting tube, and all installation hardware. This is a weld-in kit. Welding is required for installation. The CE-9903-18 is not a bolt-in system and is intended for builders fabricating their own custom mounts, rock buggies, and dedicated off-road platforms.

4340 Chromoly Torsion Bar

The CE-9903-18 uses a 32-inch long, .700-inch diameter torsion bar made from 4340 heat-treated chromoly steel. This is the same material specification used in professional off-road competition sway bars. The 4340 alloy provides higher tensile strength and fatigue resistance than conventional mild steel, allowing the CE-9903-18 bar to survive repeated flex cycles and rock impacts without permanent deformation. The .700-inch diameter provides a progressive spring rate appropriate for full-size and mid-size truck platforms commonly used in rock crawling.

How the Antirock System Works

A conventional factory sway bar is designed to reduce body roll during on-road cornering. In off-road use, a rigid sway bar prevents the suspension from articulating independently across the axle. When one wheel drops into a hole or climbs a rock, a stiff sway bar pulls the opposite wheel off the ground, reducing traction. The Antirock torsion bar design replaces that rigid link with a calibrated torsion spring that loads progressively as suspension articulation increases, storing energy and releasing it to push the unloaded wheel back down. This keeps all four wheels in contact with the terrain longer, improving traction without the need to disconnect the sway bar before each obstacle. The CE-9903-18 can also be used on street-driven vehicles, but it will allow more body roll than a factory bar and does not provide the same on-road handling characteristics.

18-Inch Fabricated Steel Arms

The CE-9903-18 includes a pair of 18-inch fabricated steel sway bar arms. These arms connect the torsion bar to the adjustable end links and ultimately to the axle tabs. The 18-inch length provides a lever ratio that works well across a wide range of vehicle widths and lift heights. The fabricated design is a cost-effective option for builders who need functional arms for a custom rig. For builders requiring higher strength in extreme competition environments, RockJock offers the CE-9903A-18 variant with forged aluminum arms and the CE-9903F-18 with forged chromoly arms as upgrades.

Weld-On Axle Tabs and Mounting Tube

The CE-9903-18 includes a 30-inch long, 1-3/4-inch x .095-inch wall DOM mounting tube and weld-on axle tabs. The mounting tube is cut and welded to the vehicle frame to create the torsion bar housing mounts. The axle tabs are welded to the axle housing to provide end link attachment points. Because mounting geometry varies by vehicle, no pre-drilled holes or bolt-in brackets are included. Builders have full control over placement, allowing the CE-9903-18 to be fitted to nearly any solid-axle application. RockJock provides an instructional guide and video series on their website for universal Antirock installation procedures.

End Links

The CE-9903-18 includes a set of adjustable sway bar end links. The included links feature extended thread length that allows them to be trimmed or adjusted to match the distance between the sway bar arm tips and the axle tabs on your specific build. If your vehicle's lift height or axle drop requires longer or shorter links, RockJock sells replacement end links in multiple lengths separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the CE-9903-18 require welding to install?
Yes. The CE-9903-18 is a universal fabricator kit that requires welding. The mounting tube must be cut and welded to the vehicle frame to create the torsion bar housing supports. The axle tabs must be welded to the axle housing. There are no bolt-in brackets included. If you need a bolt-in Antirock system for a specific vehicle such as a Jeep JK, JL, TJ, or Gladiator, RockJock makes dedicated bolt-in kits for those platforms.

What vehicles does the CE-9903-18 fit?
The CE-9903-18 is a universal kit with no specific vehicle fitment. It is designed for custom rock buggies, purpose-built off-road rigs, and any solid-axle vehicle where a bolt-in kit does not exist. Common applications include custom Jeep builds on non-production chassis, fabricated rock crawlers, solid-axle swapped trucks, and purpose-built competition vehicles. The builder is responsible for fabricating the mounting points to match their vehicle's geometry.

What is the difference between the CE-9903-18 and the CE-9903A-18?
The CE-9903-18 includes 18-inch fabricated steel arms, while the CE-9903A-18 uses 18-inch forged aluminum arms. The aluminum arms are lighter and have a higher strength-to-weight ratio than the fabricated steel arms. For most rock crawling and trail use applications, the steel arms in the CE-9903-18 are sufficient. The aluminum arms in the CE-9903A-18 are preferred by weight-conscious competition builders or those who want the higher material grade.

What is the difference between the CE-9903-18 and the CE-9901-18?
The CE-9903-18 uses a 32-inch long, .700-inch diameter torsion bar, while the CE-9901-18 uses a 36-inch long, .850-inch diameter bar. The longer and thicker bar in the CE-9901-18 provides a higher spring rate and is typically used on heavier or wider vehicles where more torsional resistance is needed. The CE-9903-18 is a better fit for mid-size and standard full-size platforms. If your build is a heavy or wide custom rig, the CE-9901-18 may be more appropriate.

Can the CE-9903-18 be used on a street-driven daily driver?
Yes, but with an important note. Antirock sway bars can be used on street-driven vehicles. However, because the Antirock torsion bar is designed to allow more axle articulation than a factory bar, vehicles equipped with the CE-9903-18 will exhibit noticeably more body roll during on-road cornering compared to a vehicle with factory sway bars. Antirock systems are engineered for off-road traction, not on-road handling. For vehicles that see mixed street and trail use, this trade-off is acceptable for most drivers. For a daily driver with primarily on-road use, a conventional sway bar upgrade is a better choice.

Do I need to buy end links separately or are they included?
Adjustable end links are included in the CE-9903-18 kit. The included links feature extended thread length that allows them to be trimmed to match your specific installation geometry. If your vehicle's lift height or the geometry of your custom build requires links that are significantly longer or shorter than what is included, RockJock sells replacement end links in various lengths separately. Check your mock-up measurements before finalizing your installation.

Are the Delrin bushings in the CE-9903-18 greaseable?
No. Delrin is a self-lubricating polymer that does not require grease and has no grease fittings. This is by design. Delrin bushings resist compression set, maintain consistent compliance across a wide temperature range, and do not soften or extrude under load the way polyurethane bushings can. They require no maintenance beyond inspection for wear.

What warranty does RockJock provide on the CE-9903-18?
RockJock backs their Antirock products against defects in materials and workmanship. Contact RockJock directly at rockjock4x4.com for full warranty terms and to initiate a claim. Damage from improper installation, misuse, or competition racing is not covered. Because the CE-9903-18 requires welding for installation, any issues related to weld quality or improper mount fabrication are outside the scope of the product warranty.

Can I upgrade the CE-9903-18 arms to forged chromoly later?
Yes. The arms in the CE-9903-18 are sold as a separate component under part number RJ-202007-103. The torsion bar, bushings, end links, and mounting hardware are all compatible with RockJock's other arm variants. You can start with the CE-9903-18 and later swap to the RJ-202001-103 forged chromoly arms (15 in.) or the RJ-202007A-103 aluminum arms (18 in.) without replacing the rest of the kit.
