Yes. Rotora requires a proper bed-in procedure after installing new rotors and pads to transfer an even layer of pad material onto the rotor surface. Skipping the bed-in process reduces braking performance and can cause uneven pad deposits. Follow Rotora's published bed-in procedure included with the rotors before driving the vehicle aggressively.

Installation Notes

1. Safely lift and support the vehicle at the front axle. Remove the front wheels.
2. Confirm the correct left and right rotor orientation before beginning installation. The directional vanes must rotate toward the front of the vehicle on each side.
3. Remove the factory caliper and bracket. Suspend the caliper with a hook or wire and do not allow it to hang by the brake hose.
4. Remove the factory rotor from the hub. Clean the hub flange of rust and debris before installing the new rotor.
5. Mount the Rotora rotor onto the hub. Torque the rotor hat mounting hardware to Rotora specification.
6. Reinstall the caliper bracket and caliper. Torque all caliper hardware to OEM specification for the Trackhawk or Durango Hellcat front axle.
7. Repeat for the opposite side, verifying the directional orientation of the second rotor.
8. Reinstall wheels, torque lug nuts to specification, and lower the vehicle.
9. Before driving aggressively, perform Rotora's recommended bed-in procedure on a safe surface at low speed.
