Install Instructions

1. Raise and support the vehicle on jack stands, then remove the wheel if needed for clearance
2. Support the axle or control arm so it does not drop suddenly once the shock is disconnected
3. Remove the upper and lower mounting hardware securing the factory shock
4. Remove the factory shock absorber from the vehicle
5. Position the new Skyjacker Black Max shock absorber into the upper and lower mounts
6. Install and hand-tighten the upper and lower mounting hardware
7. Torque all mounting hardware to the manufacturer's specification
8. Reinstall the wheel if removed, lower the vehicle, and repeat on the opposite side
