Installation Overview

1. Chock the rear wheels, engage the parking brake, and center the steering wheel.
2. Remove the factory steering stabilizer and brackets from the front axle and tie rod.
3. Press greased hourglass bushings into the body eyes of both Black MAX cylinders.
4. Mount the center axle bracket to the front axle housing with the supplied U-bolts. Do not fully tighten.
5. Position the above-tie-rod brackets on both sides of the tie rod and secure with U-bolts.
6. Install washers and poly stem bushings on each stabilizer shaft end. Connect to the tie rod brackets. Tighten until bushings swell slightly.
7. Extend each stabilizer to half travel. Torque center axle U-bolts to 30 ft-lbs and tie rod bracket U-bolts to 240 in-lbs.
8. Cycle the steering lock to lock. Confirm clearance and no binding. Re-check torque after the first 100 miles.
