The SPL RTAEL E9M is a precision-engineered rear toe link set designed specifically for the BMW M3 (E90/E92/E93) and the E82 1 Series M Coupe. Unlike the OEM rubber-bushed toe links that allow deflection under load, the SPL RTAEL E9M uses low-friction PTFE-lined FK Heim joints paired with a 6061-T6 aluminum eccentric lockout system to eliminate unwanted toe change during hard cornering, braking, and acceleration. Whether you are building a dedicated track car or dialing in alignment on the street, these rear toe links deliver repeatable, locked-in toe settings every time.

What vehicles does the SPL RTAEL E9M fit?
These rear toe links fit the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe (E82) and the 2008-2013 BMW M3 (E90 sedan, E92 coupe, E93 convertible). They do not fit non-M E9X or E8X models; those applications use the SPL RTAEL E9X.
What adjustment range do these toe links provide?
The SPL RTAEL E9M provides approximately +/-6mm of adjustment from the OEM toe position, which translates to a meaningful range of toe-in and toe-out for alignment tuning.
How does the eccentric lockout system work?
The 6061-T6 aluminum eccentric washers lock onto the subframe mounting bolt after the desired toe angle is set. This prevents the joint from rotating under load, keeping your alignment setting consistent across track sessions and hard street use.
Will these toe links work on a street-driven M3?
Yes. The PTFE-lined rod ends are smooth enough for daily driving and do not transmit harsh NVH at street speeds. The eccentric lockout simply means your alignment will not shift over time the way OEM rubber bushings can.
Are these toe links street legal?
These are aftermarket suspension components. Installation does not render a vehicle non-compliant with federal safety standards. Check your local laws regarding modified suspension components on public roads.
Does installing the SPL RTAEL E9M void my BMW factory warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer cannot void your vehicle warranty simply because you installed an aftermarket part. The dealer must demonstrate that the aftermarket part caused a specific failure to deny a warranty claim on that component.
How often do the PTFE rod ends need to be replaced?
Under normal track and street use, PTFE-lined FK rod ends last well beyond typical service intervals. Inspect for play or roughness annually or after heavy track use. SPL Parts sells replacement rod ends separately.
What is the torque specification for the subframe bolt?
Torque the subframe mounting bolt to 73.7 ft-lbs (100 Nm). Use OEM torque specifications at the knuckle end. Always re-torque after the first heat cycle and verify alignment after installation.

Control arms are the key suspension linkages that connect the wheel hub and knuckle assembly to the vehicle frame, controlling wheel travel through both compression and droop cycles. Worn OEM control arms with loose ball joints or deteriorated bushings cause vague steering, tire wear, and handling inconsistency that only go away with replacement or upgrade.Popular UpgradesTubular steel upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs are the most popular upgrade in the control arm category, correcting the geometry compromised by a suspension lift and restoring proper caster angle and ball joint centering. Adjustable upper control arms allow alignment angles like caster and camber to be dialed in precisely after a lift or lowering modification. Replacement lower control arms with polyurethane or solid aluminum bushings improve response and longevity compared to worn OEM rubber mounts. Why do I need new control arms after a lift kit?A suspension lift changes the angle at which the OEM upp...

Aftermarket suspension systems improve handling, ride quality, and ride height adjustment beyond what the factory suspension provides. From lowering springs and coilover kits for sport handling to lift kits and leveling kits for truck and SUV off-road capability, quality suspension components transform how a vehicle rides and handles. Popular Suspension Upgrades Popular suspension upgrades include coilover kits for adjustable ride height and damping, sport lowering springs for improved handling and reduced body roll, performance shock absorbers and strut assemblies, sway bar and end link upgrade kits, subframe brace kits, and complete suspension packages for lifted trucks and off-road SUVs. Alignment kits including camber bolts and camber arms are also frequently ordered after ride height changes. What is the difference between coilovers and lowering springs? Coilovers are complete shock and spring assemblies with adjustable ride height set by threading the spring perch on the shock...
