The SPL RTRHC R35 High Clearance Rear Traction Links are the TITANIUM Series solution for R35 GT-R owners running wider wheel and tire combinations. Unlike standard traction rods, the high-clearance design clears road-race wheel packages and 15-inch drag racing hoops that the OEM links cannot accommodate. FK Rod Ends replace the factory rubber bushings to eliminate toe fluctuation under hard acceleration, heavy braking, and over rough pavement. The adjustable length design also allows bumpsteer tuning for the rear suspension. Built from 7075 billet aluminum alloy with blue anodized titanium jam nuts, the SPL RTRHC R35 is among the lightest adjustable rear traction links available for the R35 platform. FK Bearings rod ends manufactured in Connecticut feature a PTFE liner chemically bonded to the inner race, rated from -65 to 325 degrees F for year-round street and track reliability.

What makes the SPL RTRHC R35 different from the standard SPL rear traction links?
The SPL RTRHC R35 high-clearance design provides greater radial clearance around the link body, allowing fitment of wide wheel and tire combinations used in road racing and drag racing applications. The standard SPL RTR R35 traction links are designed for OEM-width wheels and tires.
Will the SPL RTRHC R35 reduce rear toe change under acceleration?
Yes. The FK Rod Ends in the SPL RTRHC R35 eliminate the compliance of the factory rubber bushings, which are the primary cause of rear toe variation under hard acceleration, braking, and over road irregularities. The result is more consistent rear grip and improved straight-line stability.
Is the SPL RTRHC R35 suitable for a street-driven GT-R?
Yes. The PTFE-lined FK bearings operate silently and are rated from -65 to 325 degrees F, making the SPL RTRHC R35 fully appropriate for daily-driven R35 GT-Rs. Many owners run these on street cars to eliminate bushing-related alignment drift.
Does installing the SPL RTRHC R35 void my Nissan GT-R warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer cannot void unrelated warranty coverage simply because an aftermarket part is installed. The dealer must prove the SPL RTRHC R35 caused the specific failure. Unrelated repairs remain under warranty coverage.
Does this product require modification to the R35 chassis?
No. The SPL RTRHC R35 uses OEM mounting points and hardware. No drilling or chassis modification is required.
Can the SPL RTRHC R35 be used with coilovers and lowered ride height?
Yes. The adjustable length allows the rear bumpsteer characteristics to be tuned to suit lowered ride heights and varying suspension travel demands.
How often should I inspect the SPL RTRHC R35 rod ends?
Inspect rod end condition and fastener torque every 100 miles initially after installation, then at every track event or every 10,000 street miles. Replace worn rod ends with SPL replacement FK rod ends to maintain performance.
What drag setups does the SPL RTRHC R35 support?
The SPL RTRHC R35 high-clearance profile is specifically designed to clear 15-inch drag wheels and tires on the R35 GT-R rear axle, making it a direct prerequisite for serious drag racing builds on this platform.

Control arms are the key suspension linkages that connect the wheel hub and knuckle assembly to the vehicle frame, controlling wheel travel through both compression and droop cycles. Worn OEM control arms with loose ball joints or deteriorated bushings cause vague steering, tire wear, and handling inconsistency that only go away with replacement or upgrade.Popular UpgradesTubular steel upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs are the most popular upgrade in the control arm category, correcting the geometry compromised by a suspension lift and restoring proper caster angle and ball joint centering. Adjustable upper control arms allow alignment angles like caster and camber to be dialed in precisely after a lift or lowering modification. Replacement lower control arms with polyurethane or solid aluminum bushings improve response and longevity compared to worn OEM rubber mounts. Why do I need new control arms after a lift kit?A suspension lift changes the angle at which the OEM upp...
