The SPL RLL FRS replaces the factory rubber-bushed rear lower control arm on the Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, Toyota 86, GR86, and Subaru WRX/STI platform with a fully adjustable billet aluminum assembly that delivers precise camber, track, and motion ratio control. Designed using Finite Element Analysis, the SPL RLL FRS provides up to 1.375 inches of total length adjustment, a 50 percent wider range than many competitors, and three shock and sway bar mounting positions for on-the-fly spring rate and sway bar tuning without changing parts.

What adjustment range does the SPL RLL FRS provide for camber?
The double adjuster delivers up to 1.375 inches (35mm) of total length adjustment, which translates to a wide range of camber change. This is approximately 50 percent more adjustment travel than many competing products, allowing alignment for everything from lightly lowered street setups to aggressive track configurations.
How does the motion ratio adjustment work on the SPL RLL FRS?
Three mounting positions for the shock absorber and sway bar end link allow you to change the motion ratio at the wheel without swapping springs. Moving between positions is equivalent to approximately plus or minus 13 percent spring rate change, so a 336 lb/in spring can act like 380 or 294 lb/in depending on which hole you use.
Is the SPL RLL FRS street legal?
Yes. The SPL RLL FRS is a suspension alignment component and does not affect emissions or vehicle safety systems. It is suitable for street use in all 50 states. A professional wheel alignment is required after installation.
Will this product fit the 2022+ Subaru WRX (VB chassis)?
The SPL RLL FRS is confirmed for the 2008-2021 WRX/STI (GR and VA chassis). A separate SPL product is available for the 2022+ VB WRX. Check the fitment table above and confirm your chassis code before ordering.
How do I adjust camber without jam nuts?
Loosen the two titanium 1/4-20 Allen screws on the 360-degree rotating clamp. Turn the double adjuster to set the desired length, then retighten the clamp screws. No wrenching on jam nuts is required, and adjustment can be performed on the car with the suspension at ride height.
Can I adjust spring rate and sway bar effectiveness without buying new parts?
Yes. The three mounting positions for the shock and sway bar end link let you dial in motion ratio on the car. This can replicate the effect of a spring 13 percent stiffer or softer, and adjusts sway bar effective rate as if you swapped to a bar 0.5mm larger or smaller.
Does installing the SPL RLL FRS affect my factory warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer cannot void your powertrain warranty simply because you installed an aftermarket suspension component, unless they can show the part directly caused a failure. Consult your dealer or a legal advisor for guidance specific to your vehicle.
What rod end size do the SPL RLL FRS arms use?
The SPL RLL FRS uses 5/8-inch (15.8mm) PTFE-lined FK spherical rod ends manufactured in the USA. Replacement rod ends are available directly from SPL Parts if service is needed.

Control arms are the key suspension linkages that connect the wheel hub and knuckle assembly to the vehicle frame, controlling wheel travel through both compression and droop cycles. Worn OEM control arms with loose ball joints or deteriorated bushings cause vague steering, tire wear, and handling inconsistency that only go away with replacement or upgrade.Popular UpgradesTubular steel upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs are the most popular upgrade in the control arm category, correcting the geometry compromised by a suspension lift and restoring proper caster angle and ball joint centering. Adjustable upper control arms allow alignment angles like caster and camber to be dialed in precisely after a lift or lowering modification. Replacement lower control arms with polyurethane or solid aluminum bushings improve response and longevity compared to worn OEM rubber mounts. Why do I need new control arms after a lift kit?A suspension lift changes the angle at which the OEM upp...

Aftermarket suspension systems improve handling, ride quality, and ride height adjustment beyond what the factory suspension provides. From lowering springs and coilover kits for sport handling to lift kits and leveling kits for truck and SUV off-road capability, quality suspension components transform how a vehicle rides and handles. Popular Suspension Upgrades Popular suspension upgrades include coilover kits for adjustable ride height and damping, sport lowering springs for improved handling and reduced body roll, performance shock absorbers and strut assemblies, sway bar and end link upgrade kits, subframe brace kits, and complete suspension packages for lifted trucks and off-road SUVs. Alignment kits including camber bolts and camber arms are also frequently ordered after ride height changes. What is the difference between coilovers and lowering springs? Coilovers are complete shock and spring assemblies with adjustable ride height set by threading the spring perch on the shock...
