The SPL RTA F8X Rear Toe Links are engineered for the 2014+ BMW M2, M3, and M4 across the F87, F80, F82, F83, G80, G82, G83, and G87 chassis generations. These arms replace the factory rubber-bushed rear toe links with gun-drilled 2024 aluminum links, 6061-T6 aluminum rotating clamps, and 3-piece PTFE-lined FK rod ends. The OEM toe link uses rubber bushings that deflect under the extreme cornering loads these M cars generate, allowing rear toe to shift mid-corner. The SPL RTA F8X eliminates that compliance, locking your rear alignment to the setting dialed in at the alignment rack. The 360-degree rotating clamp system removes the need for jam nuts, letting one technician adjust toe on the car without wrestling two wrenches simultaneously.

Does the SPL RTA F8X include eccentric lockout washers?
The SPL RTA F8X is sold as toe links only. SPL offers the eccentric lockout washers as a separate kit, or as a combined kit (SPL RTAEL F8X) that includes both the links and the lockout hardware. The lockout kit is recommended for track use.
What is the difference between the F8X and G8X applications?
The SPL RTA F8X fits both F-chassis (F80/F82/F83 M3/M4, F87 M2) and G-chassis (G80/G82/G83 M3/M4, G87 M2) models. The rear subframe bolt pattern and toe link mounting geometry are compatible across both generations.
How are the toe links adjusted on the car?
With the vehicle on an alignment rack, loosen the 3/16" Allen key clamp screws on the rotating collar, rotate the center link to achieve the desired toe reading on the rack display, then re-tighten the clamps to specification.
Do these toe links work with BMW M3/M4 Competition packages?
Yes. The SPL RTA F8X fits all M3 and M4 variants including Competition, Competition xDrive, CS, CSL, and GTS, across both F-series and G-series generations.
What is the operating temperature range of the FK rod end liners?
The PTFE liner is rated from -65 to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, making the SPL RTA F8X suitable for track days and sustained high-load driving conditions.
Are these links compatible with aftermarket suspension setups and coilovers?
Yes. The SPL RTA F8X is engineered for high-performance use and works with all common coilover systems fitted to the M2/M3/M4 platform. The adjustment range is sufficient to correct toe on lowered vehicles.
Will installing the SPL RTA F8X void my BMW factory warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, BMW cannot void your entire vehicle warranty solely because you installed an aftermarket part. They must demonstrate that the specific aftermarket component caused the failure in question. Consult your dealer for details specific to your vehicle.
What torque values are required during installation?
Torque the subframe-side fastener to 100 Nm (74 ft-lbs). Refer to the BMW service manual for the knuckle-side torque specific to your model year. Tighten the clamp screws with a 3/16" Allen key to 150 in-lbs maximum.

Control arms are the key suspension linkages that connect the wheel hub and knuckle assembly to the vehicle frame, controlling wheel travel through both compression and droop cycles. Worn OEM control arms with loose ball joints or deteriorated bushings cause vague steering, tire wear, and handling inconsistency that only go away with replacement or upgrade.Popular UpgradesTubular steel upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs are the most popular upgrade in the control arm category, correcting the geometry compromised by a suspension lift and restoring proper caster angle and ball joint centering. Adjustable upper control arms allow alignment angles like caster and camber to be dialed in precisely after a lift or lowering modification. Replacement lower control arms with polyurethane or solid aluminum bushings improve response and longevity compared to worn OEM rubber mounts. Why do I need new control arms after a lift kit?A suspension lift changes the angle at which the OEM upp...
