Rear Toe Links with Eccentric Lockout for 2016+ Chevrolet Camaro Gen 6 with SPL RTAEL CAM6

The SPL RTAEL CAM6 combines fully adjustable rear toe links with a precision eccentric lockout kit for the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro (2016 to present), also compatible with the CT5 Blackwing. The gun-drilled 2024 aluminum toe links replace the factory unit with a precise, zero-slip assembly, while the 6061-T6 aluminum eccentric lockout washers permanently eliminate the factory eccentric bolt that allows rear toe to drift under high cornering and braking loads. The result is rear toe that stays exactly where it is set regardless of track use intensity. PTFE-lined FK rod ends eliminate bushing deflection for immediate, predictable alignment response.

Features and Benefits

  • Gun-drilled 2024 aluminum toe links, black anodized, for reduced unsprung weight and high stiffness
  • 360-degree rotating 6061-T6 aluminum clamp design for on-car toe adjustment without jam nuts

  • 3-piece PTFE-lined FK spherical rod ends manufactured in Connecticut; self-lubricating, operating range -65 to 325 degrees F
  • 6061-T6 aluminum eccentric lockout washers eliminate factory eccentric bolt and prevent alignment drift under load
  • Grade 10.9 hex cap bolts with lock nuts for zero-slip subframe mounting
  • Wide range of rear toe adjustment for lowered street builds, track alignment, and camber compensation
  • Also fits Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing (2022+)

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do the 6th-gen Camaro rear toe links need replacement?
The factory Gen 6 Camaro rear toe arms use an eccentric bolt and washer for adjustment. Under high cornering loads, this eccentric can slip, causing rear toe to shift from the set alignment. The SPL RTAEL CAM6 replaces both the factory toe arm and the eccentric bolt with hardware that holds toe without any risk of slipping.

How much toe adjustment does the SPL RTAEL CAM6 provide?
The double-adjuster and 360-degree rotating clamp provide a wide range of rear toe adjustment, giving alignment technicians sufficient travel to correct toe on significantly lowered Camaros and to set aggressive alignment for track use.

What does the eccentric lockout kit do on the SPL RTAEL CAM6?
The 6061-T6 aluminum eccentric lockout washers replace the factory eccentric bolt at the subframe mount. They fit into the subframe grooves and prevent the bolt from rotating, eliminating the only source of toe change on the SPL adjustable arm. Once installed, toe is adjusted only by the arm length, not by the subframe hardware.

Is the SPL RTAEL CAM6 street legal?
Yes. The SPL RTAEL CAM6 is a suspension alignment component and does not affect emissions or safety systems. It is suitable for street use in all 50 states. A professional alignment is required after installation.

Does the SPL RTAEL CAM6 fit both SS and ZL1 Camaros?
Yes. The SPL RTAEL CAM6 fits all 2016+ sixth-generation Camaro trims including LS, LT, LT1, SS, and ZL1, as well as the 2022+ Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.

How long does installation take?
Installation is straightforward and typically takes approximately one hour per side. The most time-consuming part is installing the eccentric lockout washers at the subframe and verifying the arm is set to OEM length before professional alignment.

Does installing the SPL RTAEL CAM6 void my factory warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer cannot void your powertrain warranty solely because you installed an aftermarket suspension component, unless they can demonstrate the part directly caused a failure. Consult your dealer for your specific situation.

Can I adjust toe after installing the eccentric lockout?
Yes. After the lockout washers are in place, all toe adjustment is made by changing the length of the SPL RTAEL CAM6 arm using the 360-degree rotating clamp. Loosen the titanium clamp hardware, rotate the double adjuster to the desired length, and retighten. A full alignment is needed after any adjustment.

Installation Instructions

  1. Safely raise and support the vehicle on jack stands; remove the rear wheels for access.
  2. Record the current rear toe measurement or photograph the factory toe arm position.
  3. Remove the OEM rear toe arm mounting bolts (18mm at knuckle, 18mm at subframe) and set the arm aside.
  4. Install the eccentric lockout washers into the subframe grooves so they fit between the two grooves and prevent the bolt from rotating.
  5. Set the SPL RTAEL CAM6 arm to the same center-to-center length as the OEM arm before installation.
  6. Install the arm using the provided nut (18mm) and bolt (19mm) at the subframe, and OEM hardware at the knuckle; torque to 73.7 ft-lbs (100 Nm). Do not overtorque.
  7. Tighten the 360-degree rotating clamp with a 3/16-inch hex key to lock the adjuster.
  8. Have the vehicle professionally aligned on a four-wheel alignment rack before driving.

Control Arms

Control Arms

Control arms are the key suspension linkages that connect the wheel hub and knuckle assembly to the vehicle frame, controlling wheel travel through both compression and droop cycles. Worn OEM control arms with loose ball joints or deteriorated bushings cause vague steering, tire wear, and handling inconsistency that only go away with replacement or upgrade.Popular UpgradesTubular steel upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs are the most popular upgrade in the control arm category, correcting the geometry compromised by a suspension lift and restoring proper caster angle and ball joint centering. Adjustable upper control arms allow alignment angles like caster and camber to be dialed in precisely after a lift or lowering modification. Replacement lower control arms with polyurethane or solid aluminum bushings improve response and longevity compared to worn OEM rubber mounts. Why do I need new control arms after a lift kit?A suspension lift changes the angle at which the OEM upp...
