The SPL RLL E36 Rear Camber Links give the 1990-2000 BMW 3 Series and 1996-2002 BMW Z3 what the factory never offered: a fully adjustable rear camber arm with zero-deflection spherical bearings. The OEM rear lower lateral arm relies on rubber bushings that compress under cornering load, inducing unwanted camber change. The SPL RLL E36 replaces those rubber bushings with custom 3-piece FK spherical rod ends featuring PTFE liners, eliminating compliance and giving you a stable, precise rear camber setting. Gun-drilled 6061-T6 aluminum links and Ti-6Al-4V Titanium hardware keep unsprung weight to a minimum while the rotating 360-degree clamp design allows quick on-car adjustments with a standard Allen key.

What problem does the SPL RLL E36 solve on a lowered E36?
The SPL RLL E36 corrects the excessive negative camber that results from lowering the E36 suspension. Without adjustment, lowered E36s run too much negative camber, causing uneven tire wear and reducing the contact patch at the inside edge of the tire during cornering.
Do the SPL RLL E36 links work on both street and track E36 builds?
Yes. The SPL RLL E36 is equally at home on a daily-driven lowered 3 Series and a dedicated E36 track car. The adjustment range accommodates conservative street alignment specs and aggressive negative camber for track use.
Are the FK rod ends noisy on the street?
The 3-piece FK bearings with Teflon liners provide quiet, low-friction operation. The PTFE liner eliminates metal-to-metal contact, so NVH is not significantly different from a rubber-bushed arm in normal street driving.
Will the SPL RLL E36 work with E36 coilovers or lowering springs?
Yes. The extended adjustment range of the SPL RLL E36 is specifically designed for use with lowered vehicles. The arms provide enough adjustment range to restore proper rear alignment geometry on any E36 with moderate to aggressive lowering.
What tools are needed for installation?
You will need common metric sockets, a torque wrench, and a 3/16" Allen key for the clamp screws. A jack and jack stands are required. A professional four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation.
Do these links fit the BMW E46?
Yes. The SPL RLL E36 also fits the 1998-2007 BMW E46 3 Series chassis, which shares rear suspension geometry with the E36.
Will installing the SPL RLL E36 void my factory warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void your factory warranty simply because an aftermarket part was installed, unless they can prove that the part caused the specific failure being claimed. As the E36 is well past its factory warranty period for most examples, this is generally not a concern.
How is the camber adjusted after installation?
Loosen the 3/16" Allen key clamp screws, rotate the center arm to increase or decrease the effective link length, then re-tighten the clamps. An alignment rack measurement is required to confirm the final setting.

Control arms are the key suspension linkages that connect the wheel hub and knuckle assembly to the vehicle frame, controlling wheel travel through both compression and droop cycles. Worn OEM control arms with loose ball joints or deteriorated bushings cause vague steering, tire wear, and handling inconsistency that only go away with replacement or upgrade.Popular UpgradesTubular steel upper control arms for lifted trucks and SUVs are the most popular upgrade in the control arm category, correcting the geometry compromised by a suspension lift and restoring proper caster angle and ball joint centering. Adjustable upper control arms allow alignment angles like caster and camber to be dialed in precisely after a lift or lowering modification. Replacement lower control arms with polyurethane or solid aluminum bushings improve response and longevity compared to worn OEM rubber mounts. Why do I need new control arms after a lift kit?A suspension lift changes the angle at which the OEM upp...

Aftermarket suspension systems improve handling, ride quality, and ride height adjustment beyond what the factory suspension provides. From lowering springs and coilover kits for sport handling to lift kits and leveling kits for truck and SUV off-road capability, quality suspension components transform how a vehicle rides and handles. Popular Suspension Upgrades Popular suspension upgrades include coilover kits for adjustable ride height and damping, sport lowering springs for improved handling and reduced body roll, performance shock absorbers and strut assemblies, sway bar and end link upgrade kits, subframe brace kits, and complete suspension packages for lifted trucks and off-road SUVs. Alignment kits including camber bolts and camber arms are also frequently ordered after ride height changes. What is the difference between coilovers and lowering springs?
