Stop Evo Front End Vagueness Before It Costs You a Corner
The factory rubber bushing in the front lower control arm's inner rearward mount is one of the first things to go soft on a hard-driven Lancer Evolution. Once it collapses, the control arm shifts under load and steering feedback turns mushy right when you need it most. The SuperPro DURO3739K DuroBall bushing set replaces that worn OE rubber with a metal-and-polyurethane hybrid pivot that locks the control arm's geometry in place and keeps the front end tracking exactly where you point it.
Key Features
- DuroBall technology combines a precision metal ball joint with a polyurethane boot for OE-style articulation without the deflection
- Corrects the vertical pivot weakness built into the factory rubber bushing design
- Polyurethane blend resists oil, grease, and road grime that cause premature rubber failure
- Sharper, more direct steering response under hard cornering and trail braking
- Reduces unwanted control arm movement for consistent alignment settings
- Direct bolt-in replacement using the factory mounting location
- MPN DURO3739K is engineered specifically for the Evo's front lower inner rearward mount, not a universal fit

FAQ
What is the DURO3739K?The DURO3739K is a SuperPro DuroBall polyurethane bushing set that replaces the front lower control arm's inner rearward mount on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, correcting the deflection and early wear common to the factory rubber bushing.
Will this bushing set fit my 2004 Lancer Evolution VIII?Yes, this bushing set fits 2003-2006 Lancer Evolution models, which covers the Evo VIII and Evo IX generations sold in that range.
Does it fit the Evolution MR?Yes, it fits the 2005-2006 Evolution MR in addition to the standard Evolution, RS, and SE trims within the listed year range.
What does the DuroBall design do differently than a standard polyurethane bushing?DuroBall combines a metal ball joint with a polyurethane boot so the control arm pivots the way the factory vertical pivot bushing was designed to, but without the early failure points found in the rubber OE part.
Is this a full control arm replacement or just the bushing? This is a bushing replacement kit only. It installs into your existing front lower control arm at the inner rearward mounting position.
Does installing it require an alignment afterward?Yes, a front end alignment is recommended after installation since control arm bushing replacement can shift camber and caster slightly from their previous settings.
Is the DURO3739K covered under warranty?Yes, SuperPro backs its polyurethane bushings with a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser, and off-road, motorsport, and track use does not void coverage.
Can I install it myself or does it require a shop? Most experienced DIY mechanics can install this bushing set with common hand tools and a press or vise, though a shop press makes removal of the old bushing significantly easier.
Install Instructions
- Raise and safely support the vehicle, then remove the front wheel on the side being serviced
- Unbolt the front lower control arm from the subframe and knuckle to access the inner rearward mount
- Press out the worn factory rubber bushing from the control arm using a shop press or bushing removal tool
- Clean the bushing bore in the control arm of rust, grease, and debris
- Press the new SuperPro DuroBall bushing into the control arm, seating it fully and squarely
- Reinstall the control arm to the subframe and knuckle, torquing all hardware to factory specification
- Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle
- Have the front end professionally aligned before resuming normal driving
