FAQ
What is the 8600-01?The 8600-01 is a Synergy Heavy Duty Drag Link built for 2005 and newer Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks, replacing the factory drag link with a stronger DOM steel tube design.
Does this drag link fit F-450 or F-550 trucks? No, this part is designed for F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks; F-450 and F-550 models use the Synergy 7600-01 drag link.
Can I retain my factory steering stabilizer?Yes, the drag link is machined to retain the stock steering stabilizer mount, or it can be paired with a Synergy aftermarket stabilizer using a stabilizer clamp.
Does this drag link work with stock wheels and tires?Yes, there are no wheel size requirements and factory wheels and tires remain fully compatible.
Is the drag link adjustable on the vehicle?Yes, the double adjuster sleeve allows length adjustment without removing the drag link from the truck.
What is the maximum lift height compatible with this drag link? The drag link is compatible from stock height up to 4in of lift; vehicles lifted beyond 4in require a drop pitman arm.
What tie rod ends are used with this drag link? This drag link uses Synergy metal on metal tie rod ends with a single plane design on the axle side to prevent drag link flop.
How long does installation take?Installation typically takes about half an hour using basic hand tools such as a 3/4 inch wrench and a tie rod separator tool.
