Installation typically takes about half an hour using basic hand tools such as a 3/4 inch wrench and a tie rod separator tool.

Install Instructions

  1. Raise and securely support the front of the vehicle, then remove the front passenger side tire.
  2. Remove the factory cotter pins and loosen the drag link tie rod end nuts at the steering knuckle and pitman arm.
  3. Separate the tie rod ends from the pitman arm and steering knuckle, then remove the factory drag link.
  4. Install the Synergy drag link with the bend facing forward and the double adjuster side toward the knuckle.
  5. Adjust the double adjuster sleeve so the new drag link matches the factory center to center length.
  6. Torque the tie rod end castle nuts to 70 lb-ft and install new cotter pins.
  7. Tighten both pinch bolts to 60 to 90 lb-ft and torque the steering stabilizer nut to 67 lb-ft.
  8. Reinstall the wheel, torque lug nuts to spec, then test drive and fine-tune alignment with the double adjuster.
