Important compatibility note: Tesla changed the puddle light design from rectangular to round starting with the 2021 Model S and Model X redesign. This product is designed for the original rectangular puddle light module used on pre-refresh Model S and Model X, all Model 3, and Model Y. It will not fit refreshed (2021+) Model S or Model X vehicles with round puddle lights. Model X front doors only are supported; rear (Falcon Wing) doors do not use this puddle light design. Please confirm your vehicle has the rectangular puddle light before ordering.

Will this fit my 2022 Model S?
No. Tesla redesigned the Model S and Model X puddle lights to a round design starting with the 2021 refresh. This product is designed for the original rectangular puddle light module and will not fit refreshed Model S or Model X vehicles.
Does this fit the rear doors on my Model X?
This product is designed for the front door puddle lights on Model X. Rear Falcon Wing doors on Model X do not use this same puddle light module.
Is installation difficult?
No. Installation is a simple pop-out, plug-in replacement of the factory puddle light, typically completed in a few minutes per door without tools beyond a small flathead screwdriver or trim pry tool.
Will this affect my window calibration?
The puddle light connector is also tied to the door window drop-down function on some Tesla models. Reconnect the light securely to avoid any window calibration issues, and consult Tesla's service guidance if your window does not drop slightly when the door opens after installation.
What is the difference between the White and Red options?
These refer to the color of the LED light used for the logo projection, not the housing color.
Can I mix colors between front and rear doors?
Yes, as long as you order enough sets to cover the doors you want to upgrade.
Do these replace both the logo projection and the standard courtesy lighting function?
Yes. These are a direct replacement for the factory puddle light and provide both the ground-floor courtesy lighting and the added logo projection effect.
Are these waterproof?
The housing is designed for the same exposed under-door location as the factory puddle light, which is built to handle normal weather exposure in that location.
Installation Instructions
- Open the vehicle door and locate the factory puddle light on the underside of the door panel.
- Use a small flathead screwdriver or plastic trim pry tool to gently pry the factory puddle light out of its mounting slot.
- Press the locking tab on the electrical connector and disconnect the factory puddle light from the wiring harness.
- Connect the new logo puddle light to the factory wiring harness connector.
- Confirm the logo projects correctly onto the ground before fully seating the light in the door panel.
- Align the raised ribs on the light housing with the mounting slot and press firmly until it snaps securely into place.
- Repeat for each door being upgraded, keeping left (L) and right (R) marked units on their correct sides.
