Installation
- Lubricate the rear main seal with engine oil or the lubricant specified for the seal.
- Place the seal in the correct orientation over the crankshaft.
- Align the billet tool and its four bolt holes over the crankshaft.
- Install the supplied washers and bolts, then tighten in a gradual crisscross pattern.
- Stop when the tool bottoms evenly, remove the hardware and tool, and inspect the seal for a flush, even seat.
Important: Do not use the tool on a dry seal. Follow the current engine and seal manufacturer's service instructions, and confirm all sealing surfaces are clean and undamaged.
