Installation Instructions

1. Remove all contents from the box and confirm every listed part is present and free of damage.
2. Open the hood and remove the plastic cover at the front of the engine bay using a pry tool.
3. Remove the four bolts holding the factory grille in place and disconnect any electrical connections.
4. Remove the bolts attaching the wheel well cover to the filler panel, then pry off the filler panel.
5. Remove the four upper bumper bolts and two lower bumper arm bolts attaching the bumper to the frame, then remove the bumper.
6. Loosely install the lower driver and passenger mounting brackets and support brackets onto the frame using the supplied M12 hardware, sandwiching the frame between the brackets.
7. Position the included cutting templates on the bumper valence and cut along the template lines as directed.
8. Reinstall the front bumper loosely using the upper support straps in place of the factory upper bumper bolts, then reconnect all electrical connections. Torque the factory bumper bolts holding the upper support straps to 50-55 ft-lbs and confirm the mounting surfaces of the straps measure about 42.25 inches apart.
9. Reinstall the filler panel and grille in the reverse order of removal.
10. With a helper, mount the HDX Grille Guard base to the lower mounting brackets and upper support straps using the supplied M10 and M12 hardware.
11. Install the driver and passenger wings using the supplied M8 hardware.
12. Align the assembly and torque all hardware to specification, M8 fasteners to 15-18 ft-lbs, M10 fasteners to 25-30 ft-lbs, and M12 fasteners to 45-50 ft-lbs.
