Installation Overview

1. Disconnect the vehicle battery negative terminal before beginning electrical work.
2. Remove the factory headlight bezel trim and retaining ring on each side using a Phillips screwdriver and 10mm socket.
3. Unplug the factory headlight connector and remove the sealed-beam assembly.
4. Plug the XKmax headlight harness into the factory connector on each side, then connect the headlight assembly to the harness.
5. Set the headlight into the mounting bucket, reinstall the retaining ring and bezel trim.
6. Route the controller wiring harness to a sheltered mounting location, keeping wires away from heat and moving components.
7. If installing turn signal and brake sync, locate the signal wires at the headlight socket and connect the sensor wires per the included guide.
8. Connect the controller power lead to a fused 12V ignition-switched source and the ground to chassis ground.
9. Reconnect the battery, start the vehicle, and confirm low beam and high beam function.
10. Download the XKmax App, pair the controller via Bluetooth 4.0 LE, verify both halos respond, and perform a headlight aim adjustment if needed.
