Installation Instructions

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire on the side being serviced.
2. Remove the brake caliper and rotor to allow access to the axle tube end.
3. Remove the differential cover and drain the differential oil.
4. Remove the pinion shaft lock bolt and slide out the pinion shaft.
5. Push the axle shaft inward to expose the C-clip. Remove the C-clip and slide out the old shaft.
6. Inspect the axle bearing and seal. Replace if worn.
7. Apply a thin coat of gear oil to the spline end of YA D44JKNON.
8. Slide the new shaft in and engage the splines. Install the C-clip. Pull the shaft outward to seat the clip.
9. Reinstall the pinion shaft and lock bolt to factory torque spec.
10. Install the differential cover with new RTV sealant. Fill with correct gear oil.
11. Reinstall the rotor, caliper, wheel, and tire. Torque to specification. Road-test and check for leaks.
