Installation Instructions
- Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the wheel and tire on the affected side.
- Remove the brake caliper, bracket, and rotor for full access.
- Remove the differential cover and drain the gear oil completely.
- Remove the pinion shaft lock bolt and slide out the pinion shaft.
- Push the old axle shaft inward to expose the C-clip. Remove the C-clip and slide out the shaft.
- Inspect the axle bearing and seal. Replace if needed.
- Apply gear oil to the spline end of YA G12471369. Slide the shaft in and engage the splines.
- Install the C-clip and pull the shaft outward to seat the clip against the side gear bore.
- Reinstall the pinion shaft and torque the lock bolt to GM specification.
- Install the differential cover with new RTV sealant. Fill with correct gear oil.
- Reinstall the rotor, caliper, wheel, and tire. Road-test and inspect for leaks.
