The axle shaft does not need to be removed in most cases.
Does this fit both the driver and passenger side?

Installation Instructions
- Safely raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Remove the brake caliper and bracket. Hang the caliper safely, do not let it hang by the brake line. Remove the brake rotor.
- Disconnect the ABS sensor wire connector and unclip it from any brackets along the knuckle.
- From the rear side of the steering knuckle, remove the four hub mounting nuts. The hub assembly may need to be tapped free with a rubber mallet.
- Thread new M14 x 1.5 studs into the new assembly and secure them using a double-nut method before installation.
- Apply wheel bearing grease to the needle bearing at the rear of the hub and to the O-ring in the steering knuckle bore.
- Route the ABS sensor wire through the dust shield, then carefully slide the hub assembly into the knuckle with the ABS port facing upward.
- Install and torque the four mounting nuts to 133 lb-ft in a criss-cross pattern. Reinstall the snap ring, washers, and locking hub.
- Reinstall the brake rotor, caliper bracket (166 lb-ft), and caliper. Reconnect the ABS sensor. Reinstall the wheel and torque lug nuts to 165 lb-ft.
- Lower the vehicle and pump the brake pedal to seat the pads before moving the vehicle.
