Installation Instructions
- Safely raise and support the vehicle; remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the brake drum or caliper and rotor to access the axle flange.
- Remove the axle shaft retaining hardware and withdraw the axle shaft from the housing tube.
- Press off the old axle bearing from the axle shaft using a bearing press.
- Remove and discard the old axle seal from the housing tube.
- Clean the housing tube bore and seal surface thoroughly.
- Drive the new axle seal from AK C10 into position in the housing tube using a proper seal driver.
- Press the new 2.800in OD axle bearing onto the axle shaft using a bearing press to the correct depth.
- Reinstall the axle shaft, torque retaining hardware to specification, and reinstall brake components.
- Reinstall the wheel assembly and verify differential fluid level.
