Installation Instructions
- Safely raise and support the vehicle; remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Remove the axle shaft retaining bolts and pull the axle shaft free from the hub.
- Remove the outer nut, lock washer, and inner nut to release the hub assembly.
- Slide the hub off the axle tube and remove the outer bearing.
- Drive out the axle seal and remove the inner bearing and race from the axle tube.
- Clean all mating surfaces and inspect the axle tube for wear or damage.
- Press in the new inner bearing race and install the new inner bearing from AK GM14T.
- Drive the new axle seal into position using a proper seal driver.
- Reinstall the hub, install the new outer bearing, and adjust bearing preload per factory specifications.
- Reinstall the axle shaft, torque retaining bolts to specification, and reinstall the wheel.
