Installation Notes
- Place a drain pan under the differential before loosening the cover — gear oil will pour out
- Remove all existing cover bolts and remove the old cover
- Scrape all old gasket material from the housing flange to ensure a flat sealing surface
- Clean the mating surface of the new chrome cover with a lint-free rag.
- Apply a new gasket or a bead of RTV sealant and install the cover
- Torque all cover bolts evenly in a cross pattern to the manufacturer specification
- Refill with the correct gear oil to the bottom of the fill plug hole and reinstall the fill plug
- Check for leaks after the first drive
