  4. Install the new ring gear from YG D30R-456R and torque bolts in a cross pattern to specification.
  5. Remove the old pinion, crush sleeve, and pinion bearings from the housing.
  6. Press new pinion bearings into the housing and onto the shaft using the correct installation tools.
  7. Set pinion depth using shims and a dial indicator per the Yukon instruction sheet specifications.
  8. Achieve the specified pinion bearing preload with an inch-pound torque wrench and a new crush sleeve.
