Installation Instructions

1. Raise and support the vehicle on jack stands. Drain differential fluid from the front diff housing.
2. Disconnect the front driveshaft and support it out of the way.
3. Remove front axle shafts as required for your specific vehicle configuration.
4. Remove the differential cover and clean all gasket mating surfaces.
5. Mark bearing caps and housing for correct reinstallation.
6. Remove carrier bearing caps and extract the carrier assembly.
7. Press off old carrier bearings and discard with races.
8. Remove pinion nut and yoke, then drive out the pinion shaft from the housing.
9. Press out old pinion bearings and remove the pinion seal.
10. Thoroughly clean all bearing bores and housing surfaces.
11. Press new Timken pinion bearing races into housing using the correct installation drivers.
