Installation Instructions

1. Drain differential fluid and remove the driveshaft from the pinion flange.
2. Mark the pinion yoke position for reference, then remove the pinion nut and yoke.
3. Tap the pinion shaft rearward and remove the pinion assembly from the housing.
4. Press off the rear bearing from the pinion shaft and remove all shims.
5. Press new rear bearing race and front bearing race from PK F8.8-A into the housing bores.
6. Set pinion depth using shims from the kit and verify gear contact pattern with marking compound.
7. Once pinion depth is correct, install a new crush sleeve, press on the front bearing, and drive in the new pinion seal.
8. Reinstall the yoke and torque the pinion nut gradually while measuring rotating torque until the specified pinion preload is reached.
9. Apply thread locker to pinion nut per Yukon Gear's instructions.
10. Reinstall driveshaft, fill with differential fluid, and road-test.
