Installation Instructions

1. Disassemble the differential and remove the carrier assembly from the housing

3. Select trial shims from the YUKSK SS12 kit closest in thickness to the originals
4. Install the carrier with the trial shims and torque the bearing caps to specification
5. Measure ring gear backlash at four points around the ring gear using a dial indicator
6. If backlash is out of specification, move shim thickness from one side to the other to maintain total preload while adjusting the carrier position
7. Verify the gear contact pattern with marking compound applied to the ring gear teeth
8. Adjust pinion depth shims if the contact pattern requires correction
