2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee Carbon Fiber Trunk Latch Cover

Finish

A UV gel coat finish is buffed to a shine on all of our carbon fiber. The same gel coat is used on our fiberglass version, except that coat is black in color. Our carbon fiber will look better the longer you own it and pick up more of a shine every time it is polished because of the UV gel coat we use. We do not use an automotive clear coat that yellows, fades or cracks over time. If your carbon fiber gets scratched there is no need to re-clear the whole part. Simply wet sand and re-buff for a completely new look. Digs gouges, scratches from flying debris? These can be filled with a clear gelcoat and wet-sanded and buffed again.

We do not recommend fiberglass to be installed as is. It is meant to be painted prior to installation.

Install

This is an overlay part for the OEM tailgate cover. You must properly clean your adhesion area, removing all wax and or residue, before adhering this part with the supplied 3M tape.
