2011 through 2018 Chevrolet Caprice Solo Performance Kook's to Solo High Flow Converters (2-1/2")
Kook's Longtube Headers are the "Go To" header. Unfortunately, Kook's made the headers in such a way that they do not integrate with anything. They won't bolt up to the stock exhaust or a Solo kit. Many of our customers already have our cat-back exhaust kit and want to upgrade to the Kook's Longtube Headers. We have adaptor "High Flow Converters" or "Catless Pipe Adaptors" so that the Kook's Longtubes and the Solo kit will integrate. These "adaptor" converters or pipes come in a 2 ½" or 3" version depending on what diameter cat-back kit you have. If you have a Solo 3" cat back kit then you would need our 3" High Flow Cats or 3" Catless Connection Pipes.
Kook's Longtubes eliminate the stock converters. We offer the "Kook's to Solo High Flow Converters" that not only mate the two companies product up to one another you also incorporate High Flow Catalytic Converters into your exhaust system which your car should have. Some customers want to keep the Converters off (off-road customers only) so we offer the Kook's to Solo Catless Pipe Adaptors also. Solo Performance is proud to offer another unique product to the PPV community for your driving enjoyment!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Are these high flow catalytic converters street legal?
Federal EPA certified high flow catalysts meet federal emissions standards. They are not CARB certified for sale in California. Check your state and local regulations before installation. -
What cell count do these catalytic converters use?
Kooks high flow catalytic converters typically use 200-cell metallic substrate construction for maximum flow with functional emissions control. Check the specifications table above for the exact cell count for this application. -
Will high flow cats trigger a check engine light?
High flow catalytic converters can trigger P0420 catalyst efficiency codes on vehicles with rear oxygen sensor monitoring. A tune or downstream O2 simulator may be required to prevent check engine lights after installation. -
How do I install these catalytic converters?
Allow the exhaust to cool fully before beginning installation. Support the exhaust system before removing the factory converters. Install the Kooks high flow converters and torque all flanges to specification. A professional tune is recommended after installation. -
Do these converters work with long tube headers?
Yes. Kooks connection pipe style converters are specifically designed to mate with Kooks long tube header collectors and connect to factory or aftermarket cat back exhaust systems. -
What is the warranty on Kooks catalytic converters?
Kooks high flow catalytic converters are backed by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Racing and competition use may affect warranty coverage. Contact Kooks for warranty details specific to your application. -
Will these converters reduce power compared to catless pipes?
High flow metallic substrate converters produce minimal restriction compared to factory ceramic converters. Real world dyno results on most applications show less than 5 HP difference between catted and catless at the same tune level. -
Do I need a tune after installing high flow catalytic converters?
A tune is recommended after any exhaust modification including high flow catalytic converter installation. The changed exhaust flow dynamics benefit from ECM recalibration for best power output and fuel efficiency.
Install Instructions
Lift the vehicle and support it safely on jack stands. Allow the exhaust to cool fully before beginning removal of the factory components. Disconnect all oxygen sensor connectors before removing the factory manifolds or pipes. Install the Kooks headers using the provided hardware and gaskets, torquing in a cross pattern to specification. A professional tune is recommended after installation of long tube headers to maximize power gains and ensure proper air fuel ratios. Check all fasteners and connections after the first heat cycle.
