Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Rails Only and Complete Kit options?
The Rails Only option (AAD-FR-HEMI-RO) includes only the two billet fuel rails. It is intended for builders who have their own AN fittings, hose, and fuel line hardware, or who are integrating the rails into a custom fuel system. The Complete Kit (AAD-FR-HEMI-CK) includes the rails plus all hardware needed to complete the swap as a bolt-on installation: -8 double swivel hose ends, NPT plugs, an ORB rail plug, the braided Viton center hose, and a custom banjo fitting with bolt to interface with the factory fuel line. For most street and performance builds, the Complete Kit is the more practical choice.

Are these rails compatible with E85?
Yes. The AAD-FR-HEMI rails are fully compatible with E85 fuel. The billet aluminum construction and black anodized finish are not degraded by ethanol-blended fuels. The Complete Kit specifically includes a Viton-lined braided hose, which is E85-compatible. If you are running a flex-fuel or dedicated E85 tune, these rails are designed to handle the increased fuel volume demands that ethanol-based fuels require.

What does the -8AN fitting standard mean for my fuel system?
AN (Army-Navy) fitting sizes are a standardized measurement used throughout the performance and racing industry. A -8AN fitting has an outer diameter of approximately 1/2 inch and is rated for high-pressure fuel delivery. The factory Hemi fuel rails use smaller restrictive fittings that become a limitation in high-horsepower builds. Upgrading to -8AN provides significantly greater flow capacity, making these rails appropriate for builds running forced induction, large injectors, or E85 where fuel demand is substantially higher than stock.

How difficult is the installation?
Installation difficulty is moderate and is best suited to someone with intermediate mechanical experience and basic AN fitting knowledge. The Complete Kit is designed to be a bolt-on replacement for the factory fuel rails. The custom banjo fitting included with the kit eliminates the need to modify the factory fuel feed line, making the installation more straightforward than competing products that require custom adapters. Access to the fuel system requires relieving fuel pressure before beginning, and basic hand tools are sufficient for most of the work.

What injectors are compatible with these rails?
The AAD-FR-HEMI rails are designed to accept the factory Hemi injector clip style, which means OEM-style injectors with the standard Hemi clip fit without modification. They are also compatible with most aftermarket high-flow injectors that use the standard EV6 (USCAR) connector and Hemi lower O-ring sizing, including popular units from Injector Dynamics, Bosch, and Delphi. If you are using injectors with a different lower O-ring size, verify dimensions before ordering.

Will these rails void my factory or aftermarket powertrain warranty under Magnuson-Moss?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer cannot void your vehicle warranty solely because you installed an aftermarket part. The warranty can only be voided if the aftermarket component is demonstrated to have caused the specific failure in question. Installing performance fuel rails does not automatically void your powertrain warranty. However, if you are on a modified vehicle warranty through an aftermarket program, review that program's terms regarding fuel system modifications.

What horsepower level are these rails designed to support?
The -8AN flow rating of the AAD-FR-HEMI rails makes them suitable for naturally aspirated builds well beyond 600 horsepower, as well as forced induction applications running superchargers or turbochargers. The -8AN line size is a common standard for builds in the 600-800+ horsepower range. Actual fuel system capacity depends on fuel pump output, injector sizing, and regulator calibration in addition to the rails themselves.

How durable is the black anodized finish?
Black anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the surface of the aluminum into a hard, corrosion-resistant aluminum oxide layer. It is not a paint or coating that can chip or peel. The finish is heat-resistant and stands up well to engine bay temperatures, fuel exposure, and cleaning products. The anodized finish on the AAD-FR-HEMI rails is applied after final machining for a consistent appearance and long service life.

Do these rails fit the 6.2L Hellcat or 6.2L Supercharged Hemi engine?
No. The AAD-FR-HEMI rails are designed specifically for the naturally aspirated Gen III Hemi engines: the 5.7L, 6.1L, and 6.4L. The 6.2L Hellcat and Demon engines use a different intake manifold and fuel rail configuration. These rails will not fit the supercharged 6.2L platform.

Is this product made in the USA?
Yes. The AAD-FR-HEMI billet fuel rails are machined in-house by All Angles Design at their facility in Sugar Creek, Missouri. The custom banjo fitting included with the Complete Kit is also manufactured in-house. All Angles Design is a US-based performance parts manufacturer specializing in Hemi platform upgrades.

Installation Instructions

  1. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and cranking the engine until it stalls. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent accidental ignition of fuel vapors during the installation.
  3. Remove the engine cover and any intake components necessary to access the factory fuel rails on your specific application.
  4. Place a shop rag or drain pan beneath the factory fuel rail connections to catch residual fuel when disconnecting lines.
  5. Disconnect the factory fuel feed line from the passenger-side fuel rail using the appropriate line disconnect tool.
  6. Disconnect the factory crossover hose between the two fuel rails.
  7. Unplug all fuel injector electrical connectors, labeling them if needed for your specific application.
  8. Remove the factory fuel rail mounting bolts. Carefully pull the factory rail assembly upward to release the injectors from the intake manifold ports. Keep the injectors in place in the intake if they will be reused.
  9. Install the AAD-FR-HEMI billet rails onto the injectors, pressing down firmly and evenly to seat the injector O-rings. Reinstall the factory mounting bolts and torque to the manufacturer's specification for your engine.
  10. If using the Complete Kit: install the -8 double swivel hose ends onto the rail inlets. Install the ORB rail plug on the unused rail outlet port. Thread the 1/8in NPT plugs into the gauge ports if not running a fuel pressure gauge.
  11. If using the Complete Kit: install the custom banjo bolt and banjo fitting on the factory fuel feed line and connect the braided Viton center hose between the two rails. Tighten all AN and banjo connections to spec. Do not overtighten AN fittings.
  12. Reconnect all fuel injector electrical connectors. Reinstall intake components and engine cover as applicable.
  13. Reconnect the negative battery terminal. Cycle the ignition key to the On position three to four times without cranking to prime the fuel system and pressurize the rails.
  14. Inspect all connections for leaks with the ignition in the On/prime position before starting the engine.
  15. Start the engine and inspect again for leaks at all rail connections, the banjo fitting, and the center hose. Confirm proper fuel pressure with a gauge if available. Clear any stored diagnostic codes as needed.

Fuel Rails

Fuel Rails

Fuel rails are the high-pressure manifolds that distribute fuel from the supply line to each injector on the engine, and upgrading from factory rails is one of the most impactful fuel system improvements for high-output EFI builds. Factory plastic or cast aluminum rails are designed to adequate specifications for stock fuel demand but often lack the integrated AN fittings, pressure sensor ports, and internal volume needed for modified engines running elevated fuel pressure or higher-flow injectors. Billet aluminum fuel rails machined from 6061 aluminum provide the rigidity and smooth bore finish that maintains consistent pressure distribution across all injector feeds, preventing the pressure standing waves that cause cylinder-to-cylinder fueling variation at high RPM. Whether you are building a show engine with a clean plumbing aesthetic or a race engine demanding maximum fuel flow reliability, the right fuel rails are the backbone of a well-designed EFI system.
