Installation Instructions

1. Read the exact manufacturer instructions for 46-20128, verify the actual engine, supplied parts and every unresolved source conflict before disassembly.
2. Park level, apply the parking brake, allow the engine to cool and read the complete exact instructions and engine-cover template. Retain all factory components the procedure reuses.
3. Remove the two nuts securing the lower plastic shield and the clips holding the rubber cover behind it. Loosen and remove the stock hump couplings connecting both hot-side tubes to the intercooler, retaining the couplings and applicable clamps for reuse.
4. Remove the engine cover and intake Y-pipe by releasing its three clamps and vacuum connection. Disconnect the passenger-side intercooler-tube vacuum line, release its turbo clamp through the passenger wheel-well access and remove that tube. Remove the driver-side tube mounting bolt, release its turbo clamp through the driver wheel-well access and remove that tube.
5. Seal the supplied hose-nipple threads with the instructed thread tape and install the nipple into the longer passenger-side tube. Fit its supplied elbow with the longer side on the tube, its retained stock hump coupling and applicable clamps, initially loose. Install the passenger tube; follow the manual grommet lubrication instruction.
6. Fit the supplied elbow with its longer side on the badged driver-side tube, then its straight coupling and applicable clamps. Install the driver tube and follow the same grommet lubrication instruction.
7. Fit the retained stock hump coupling and clamps to the more angled end of the third tube. Install that assembly between the intercooler and the straight coupling on the driver-side tube. Align every tube clear of surrounding metal before tightening clamps as directed.
8. Trim the engine cover using the manufacturer driver-side and passenger-side templates, with each side face up as shown. Verify the illustrated 11-inch template reference and correct placement before marking; remove only the indicated areas, without inventing a different universal cut size.
9. Reinstall the lower plastic shield, rubber cover, intake Y-pipe and trimmed engine cover. Restore both disconnected vacuum lines and inspect secure couplings, clearance and leaks. The exact instructions give no numerical torque or mileage recheck schedule.
