The shared manual calls the sensor fitting aluminum in the steps, while current product prose describes an injection-molded fitting; match the physical revision. Its hose is labeled fuel hose in the BOM but is used for the crankcase vent, not a fuel-system alteration. The original temperature sensor and two of the original three housing grommets are reused. The filter's own clamp is not another separately listed T-bolt. Follow the correct Pro DRY S cleaning procedure and do not oil the filter.

What final clearance and emissions checks matter?Confirm all six tabs, gap-free coupling, sensor/vent locks, restored trim and engine cover, and the tube cutout's AC-line clearance through the existing mounting bushing. Verify aFe 51-76206-1. Cool the engine, disconnect the negative battery terminal and retain original parts. Remove the engine-cover trim as instructed, temporarily removing the oil cap only if needed and restoring it afterward. Disconnect the IAT harness and crankcase vent at the valve cover, loosen the throttle-body clamp and remove the original intake. Carefully pull back the rubber trim seal and preserve the green/push clips. Release the black clip centers and remove the plastic block-off plate. Temporarily lift the liner, tuck the illustrated wire below the intake mounting stud and restore the liner. Fit the new short CCV hose to the engine fitting. Install the supplied grommet and revision-correct sensor adaptor in the new tube, seat the tube into the filter without a gap, and assemble the silicone hump with the two specified clamp sizes. Press the assembly into the housing until all six tabs lock, then tug gently to verify. Transfer two of the three original housing grommets. Fit the coupling to the throttle body, compress it as shown and seat the housing on its original mounts. Connect the new vent hose to the tube, using the mini clamp if needed; twist-lock the original sensor and reconnect its harness. Restore the trim seal and align/tighten connections without gaps. The tube cutout may require gently shifting the AC line left/right through its mounting bushing as illustrated; do not kink, strain or disconnect it. Reinstall the engine cover. This manual supplies neither a numeric torque nor a mileage-based recheck interval; do not borrow the 5.7L kit's 200-mile instruction.
