Frequently Asked Questions
Does this hood require drilling or cutting to install?
No. This hood is precision-molded from the factory panel and uses the existing hinge bolts and OEM mounting points. Minor bump stop adjustments are normal during final fitment, but no structural body modification is required.
Are hood pins required on a carbon fiber hood?
Yes, and Anderson Composites requires them. Carbon fiber hoods are significantly lighter than steel, which means aerodynamic lift at speed can overcome the factory latch. AeroCatch and Quic-Latch flush-mount systems are popular options that keep the look clean.
Can I reuse my OE gas struts?
No. Anderson Composites strongly advises against reinstalling OE gas struts or dampers on any composite hood. The pressure these shocks apply can crack the panel over time. Use a hood prop rod instead, and always close the hood carefully by hand.
Is a heat shield required?
Yes. Transfer the OEM heat shield to the new hood during installation. If the hood style prevents a direct transfer, an aftermarket universal heat shield is available at most performance retailers. Never run a carbon fiber hood without heat protection between the panel and the engine bay.

Shop Anderson Composites hoods, fenders, decklids, splitters, spoilers, diffusers and exterior trim at Black Ops Auto Works. Compare carbon-fiber and fiberglass components by exact vehicle application, body configuration, finish and manufacturer part number. A similar appearance does not establish compatibility with another trim, bumper or body width. Hoods, Fenders and Replacement Panels Identify the exact hood or panel design, construction and finished surfaces before ordering. Single-sided and double-sided carbon construction differ, and a visible carbon finish is a different choice from a panel intended for paint. Check hinge and latch arrangements, hood-pin requirements, vent clearance, heat shielding and any factory components that must transfer. Compare stated weights for the exact part rather than assuming every composite panel offers the same reduction. Splitters, Spoilers, Diffusers and Trim Match front aero to the installed bumper and rear components to the exhaust layout...

Shop Dodge Challenger exhaust and cabin-protection applications by production, engine and drivetrain. Match the actual trim and body equipment before selecting a complete system or liner package. 6.4-Litre and 6.2-Litre Exhaust Choices The displayed AWE systems name specific 6.4-litre and supercharged 6.2-litre applications. Do not extend that coverage to a V6 or 5.7-litre Challenger without exact manufacturer support. Compare Touring and Track sound configuration and stock-tip versus supplied-tip options. Confirm downpipe connections, bumper outlets and current exhaust equipment. Cabin, Trunk and Hood Protection Floor liners require exact production, drivetrain, contours and retention points. A trunk liner protects a different area from a front/second-row package. Hood protectors require the correct fascia/hood profile and mounting application. An unrelated SUV mud-guard title does not establish Challenger body fit. Choose Your Part Identify production, engine, trim and drivetrain...

Confirm Redeye, Widebody or Demon support individually where required. Hellcat Exhaust Configuration The displayed AWE 6.2-litre supercharged references offer Touring or Track choices. Match exact production, current exhaust connections and rear outlets before selecting a sound configuration. Systems using stock tips and systems supplying quad tips have different installation contents. Check retained components, tip clearance and bumper configuration. Body and Cabin Accessories Widebody or other special body equipment can affect exterior fit. Use the exact hood/fascia application for protectors rather than inferring fit from Hellcat branding. Floor and trunk liners need correct production, cabin contours and retention points. Review coverage area and supplied pieces; a shared Challenger title still needs exact support. Find Dodge Challenger parts by generation, engine and installed equipment. A classic restoration, a modern V6 daily driver and a supercharged HEMI project need different mechanical and body applications. Choose Around the Actual Challenger Record the production year, body generation, engine and transmission before planning upgrades. Keep wheel, brake and suspension options explicit; a badge does not establish every component fitted to the car. For a restored or modified Challenger, retain engine, axle and brake-conversion references. Those assemblies can change the service parts required even when the body remains original. Plan Sound, Appearance and Service Together An exhaust choice starts with the engine and exact body application, then the desired cruising sound, resonation and outlet arrangement. Compare full systems with conversion sections or tips sold separately. Body accessories need matching panel contours, attachment and clearance. For maintenance, identify the installed ...

Choose Dodge Challenger R/T parts for the engine and generation actually fitted. For a modern 5.7L HEMI car, exhaust sound, tip layout and the existing intake or brake equipment are useful planning points. 5.7L Exhaust Sound and Contents AWE offers specified 5.7L Challenger Touring and Track applications. Touring uses 180 Technology for cruising-sound control; Track takes a louder approach. Compare the exact year and part number before choosing the sound configuration. Review stock-tip or quad-tip contents and any conversion sections separately. Keep existing headers and other exhaust changes in the comparison, since the sound and installation depend on the complete setup. Intake Maintenance and Chassis Equipment Select a service filter for the intake currently fitted. A factory-airbox element, aftermarket intake element and complete intake kit are different purchases with their own housing and connection requirements.
