- Years: 1982–1993 (2.5L Iron Duke, including Pontiac Fiero, Firebird, and Sunbird)
- Models: Fiero, Firebird, Sunbird, and other 2.5L Pontiac 4-cylinder vehicles
- Crankshaft Compatibility: Fits 1.246-inch crank snout with a 3/16-inch keyway at standard Small Block 10° location. For non-standard keyway applications, use hub #085-916951K.
Installation Notes
- Press-Fit Installation: The ATI917780 is a press-fit damper requiring a proper installation tool to avoid crankshaft rotation during installation, ensuring alignment with the oil pump gear.
- Torque Specifications: Use blue Loctite and torque the damper bolt to 74 ft-lbs plus an additional 75 degrees.
- Sealer Recommendation: Apply sealer to the keyway to prevent oil leaks.
- Compatibility Note: Not recommended for applications exceeding 600 HP on the street when used with the 12% underdrive configuration.
