Installation Instructions
- Safely lift and support the vehicle on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Remove the brake caliper and hang it without stressing the brake line. Remove the caliper bracket.
- Remove the existing DBA53919BLKS two-piece rotor from the hub.
- Separate the worn DBA53919.1S ring from the aluminum hat by removing the NAS mounting hardware. Retain the hat and all hardware in good condition.
- Install the new DBA53919.1S ring onto the existing aluminum hat. Torque the NAS mounting hardware to DBA specification.
- Clean the hub flange and mount the reassembled two-piece rotor onto the hub. Secure temporarily with one lug nut.
- Reinstall the caliper bracket and torque to factory specification (typically 125-130 ft-lbs).
- Reinstall the caliper and torque slide pin bolts to spec (typically 25-30 ft-lbs).
- Reinstall the wheel and torque lug nuts to 110 ft-lbs in a star pattern.
- Pump the brake pedal firmly until solid before moving the vehicle.
- Perform the DBA bedding procedure: 8-10 moderate stops from 40 mph to 5 mph, then allow full cool-down before driving aggressively.
