Carbon Fiber Spill Plates for the Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS
These spill plates replace the factory pieces that sit in the front bumper air intakes of the 991.2 GT3 RS with fully exposed carbon fiber. Part 01.50.008 is a pure carbon fiber composite cured in an autoclave, finished under a hardened UV clear coat, and it is offered in a 3K weave that matches Porsche factory carbon or in forged carbon. Each plate is hand built in the United States and supplied as a left and right pair.

What exactly is a spill plate on this car?It is the shaped panel that sits inside the front bumper intake and guides air past the opening. Replacing it changes the visible surface without altering the duct behind it.
Is this a pair or a single piece?Two pieces are supplied, one shaped for the left intake and one for the right.
Do these fit any other 991 model?No. The intake shape is specific to the 991.2 GT3 RS bumper.
What is the difference between the two weave options?The 3K weave shows a regular woven pattern matched to Porsche factory carbon. Forged carbon is compression moulded from chopped strand and looks marbled.
Do the plates arrive finished or do they need clear coat?They arrive already sealed under a hardened UV clear coat and are ready to install.
Will the surface fade in strong sunlight?The clear coat is UV stable, which is what protects the resin from yellowing. Waxing or applying a clear film extends that protection.
Is any drilling needed?No. The plates reproduce the factory shape and use the existing mounting positions in the bumper intake.
How should they be cleaned?Rinse away road grit first, then wash with a pH neutral soap. Abrasive polish should be kept off the clear coat over the weave.
Is professional installation needed?Most owners can fit them with basic trim tools, though a shop is worth using if the bumper needs to be partly released for access.
Installation Instructions
- Park the vehicle, let the bumper cool and clean the intake area before starting.
- Note how the original spill plate sits in the intake and how it is retained.
- Release the retaining points and ease the original plate out of the intake opening.
- Clean the mounting surface and remove any residue left by the original fixings.
- Dry fit the carbon plate and confirm the leading edge follows the intake contour.
- Secure the plate at the original mounting positions, starting at the leading edge.
- Press along the length of the plate so it seats evenly with no gap at either end.
- Repeat on the opposite side and check both plates line up symmetrically across the bumper.
